Primary School (Nursery - Grade 1) Admissions Process
- Parents initially contact the Director of Admissions , Sheri Rentzepis, at 305-835-1928 or admissions@cushmanschool.org
or the Primary School Director, Arvi Balseiro, at 305-757-8359 or abalseiro@cushmanschool.org to schedule a tour of the school.
- Parents receive an application packet.
- Parents complete the application and return it to the school with the required application fee. The Registrar will request that the student’s current school send transcripts (if applicable). The transcripts and recommendation forms may not be hand-carried/mailed to Cushman by the parent.
- For three year olds: The parent contacts the Primary School Director and arranges for the student to attend a Meet and Greet during the months of January and February. If applicable, the student may be asked to spend a day at school.
- For four to six year olds: The Primary School Director contacts the parent to schedule the student for a day visit. During the visit, a simple screening assessment may be administered simply for student placement purposes.
- The Registrar or the Primary School Director will notify the parents of the applicant’s status, e.g. space availability, outcome of the visitation.
