Cushaman School Coaches: Hamilton, Vincent

Hamilton, Vincent

As a member of Cushman’s Performing Arts Team, Vinni Hamilton primarily works with our youngest Primary School students. Mr. Hamilton has been involved with music for most of his life. Born in London and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, he got his start singing with school groups and individually, often participating in countywide and national competitions. He was awarded a scholarship to participate in a brass program at the Jamaica School of Music while at age 10. However, he didn't discover his flair for keyboards until years later through his participation in church bands and training choirs.

Now, as an adult, Mr. Hamilton plays the piano, electronic keyboard, drums and flute. He is a singer, songwriter, producer, and an educator, teaching music and directing bands at different levels, as well as teaching piano, drums and theatre at different studios. As a keyboardist, he has played for many different artists, including Arturo Tappin, Freddie McGregor, Nadine Sutherland, Pluto Shervington and Willie Stewart. He is currently a member of Wraps & Kush, a Miami-based reggae dancehall band, and recently started his production company, Vinni Hamilton Productions.
